dont sweat it

PacificCoastNews

I am always appreciative of the summer weather, especially since growing up in a very frigid state like Wisconsin, where the heat only rolls around once a year and lingers for a mere 3 months. What I can't appreciate though is the added sweat factor that the summer blaze can bring along with it. And I must say, there has been a handful of blazing 100 degree weather  days so far this summer. So what is a girl to do in the swelter when she loves to layer and wear long sleeves and when her only options to stay cool are limited to wearing either really tiny shorts or well... nothing?

Current fashion designer and former television star, Whitney Port does it right, shown here shopping in Malibu on July 14. This white, open knit sweater is perfect (maybe not quite for a 100 degree weather day) but for those perfect summer days when you've exhausted all of your fun summer tanks. Because this sweater is so loose and light weight, Whitney is allowed a relaxing day of shopping without having to worry about her clothes sticking to her skin. Who would've known? Not to mention, she completes  the look with lace scalloped shorts and a pair of leopard print flats. Trรจs chic!

Still not convinced that you can pull off a sweater in this weather? Follow these simple tips from one of my favorite blogs and you'll be well on your way to feeling confident when it comes to mixing the seasons...
